Rick Lane’s PMC Ride to defeat cancer

Both Rollstone Church & the Lane family have a long history fighting the ravages of cancer. Rollstone has for many years sponsored “The Rollstone Rollers”, a ‘Relay for Life’ team in the Gardner Relay. Although there wasn’t a live June Relay you can still contribute to the “Rollstone Rollers” by following this link. For more information on “The Rollstone Rollers” see their page with the story & pictures here.

Rick Lane’s effort evolve around the Pan-Mass Challenge” (PMC), a yearly 2 day bike ride from Sturbridege MA to Providence Town at the tip of Cape Cod, all to raise money to fight cancer. With the normal PMC shutdown due to the pandemic Rick made his own, a 116 mile one day ride from northern NH to his home in Lancaster MA. His ride has been documented for us by our roving reporters, Carolyn & Janet. Below is their report on this epic journey.
